Sarah Lorente

“Music has always been the one thing that brings me to life. It’s the avenue I have chosen to move emotions that are inside of me, out. Music speaks a language that the whole earth understands; a chord or a note we all share that helps set the spirit free.”

Sarah Lorente explores new sounds and pushes on musical genre boundaries, writing and singing about identity and spirituality, pulling inspiration from artists like Sarah McLachlan, Radiohead and U2.

Wind and Waves

Sarah’s debut single, “Winds and Waves”, hit the ground running! A catchy melody along with deep lyrics beckoning people to dive deep into what they could hold onto in the midst of a global pandemic.

Really This Good

Lorente’s second single, “Really This Good”, brought back all the aspects of the 90’s that fans have grown to love and cherish. From vocals similar to the Cranberries and Alannis Morisette, this song tackles deep issues of the heart. The struggle between knowing God is profoundly good but what to do with all of the questions that arise when life simply isn’t good! Many fans loved the nostalgic vibe of this track.

Always Be With You

“Always Be With You”, Lorente’s third single went straight for the heart. This totally striped down track is Lorente’s love song to her 5 children. It’s a song highlighting the highs and lows of her relationships with her five children and the bottom line take away, they will always be loved. Sarah’s hope is that the song transcends the story of her journey with her children, to every heart listening to this track. If a song could bring healing to every single soul, it would touch on that deep, deep desire we all have. To be seen, known and loved for who we are!

Forthcoming

Lorente has four upcoming tracks that will be released over the next 4-6 months and later packaged as an EP. Songs ranging from stripped down “Between Hell and Back”, Lorente’s life journey that carries a very strong Cowboy Junkie feel, to a pop ballad of sorts: “Strong Enough To Be Weak” depicting the irony between the strength it really takes to open up and be vulnerable.

Lorente’s final releases on this EP will cover the disconnection created in people with technology and the current pandemic ending with an edgy song covering the topic of women, beauty, and the contradictions of expectations put on them by the world and the church.

Lorente’s heart for people and her compassion towards others can be felt in her music and she is on a mission to help people break free from the oppressive inner dialog.

Not only does Lorente have plans to release new music in 2021, she is also in the early stages of documenting and collecting stories for a book she will self-publish in 2022.
